Pineapple Tart
Recipe
- 2&3/4 cups of plain flour
- 3 tbsp corn flour- 4 tbsp milk powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp icing sugar
- 250g butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp shortening
- 1 egg yolk for polishing finished tart before sending to oven
- 250g pineapple paste ( 1 pack is usually 500g )
1. Sieve flour, corn flour, salt and sugar into a medium bowl
2. Beat butter and shortening in a mixer until fluffy, add egg yolks and mix until well combined
3. Beat in flour mixture prepared as in step 1
4. Divide dough and filling into small amount, and fold the filling into the dough
5. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
6. Brush egg yolk over the finished tart, but after using fork to press on it to make the pattern
7. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius
Roll the pack of pineapple paste flat in a plastic bag before cutting into bit size for wrapping.
