Samgyetang - Korean Ginseng chicken soup
Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup - Samgyetang
- 800g chicken
- 8g American ginseng slice or one piece of Korean ginseng pack
- add a piece of 牛七
(You can also use niu qi herb plus 4g ginseng but pregnant lady is advised not to take niu xi)
- 6 tbsp of glutinous rice
- 2 red dates
- 10 Garlic
- gingko
- wolf berries
- Scallion, Green Onion or spring onion to garnish
Soak glutinous rice over night.
Put the above ingredients into the chicken and seal it
Pressure cook for 20 -30 minutes to serve (if glutinous is not soft and boil again). If no pressure cooker, boil the chicken for about 30 to 40 mins.
